Job summary

genU is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to help people with disability live more independently and enjoy life at home and in the community in Ocean Grove.

Casual shifts include weekends, afternoons, public holidays and sleepovers. You will support daily living, meals, medication, documentation and PCPs, while promoting independence and community connection, in a values-driven, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability or related qualification.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• First Aid & CPR.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety & You”).
• Working with Children Check (Employee)

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities such as personal care, food preparation, medication support, and mealtime routines.
• Encourage independence and skill-building through person-centred support and teaching moments (big and small).
• Create opportunities for residents to connect with their community, explore interests, and engage in meaningful activities.
• Work alongside team leaders and colleagues to implement Person-Centred Plans (PCPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and records to support safe, quality and empowering care.
• Complete admin tasks such as compliance reporting, client paperwork and incident documentation while following genU policies and WHS standards.

What you’ll do

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
