Job summary

Lutheran Services in Rosewood, Queensland is hiring a Home Care Support Worker to provide personalised in-home support to aged care clients, helping them stay independent and maintain dignity. You’ll perform personal care, daily living tasks, accompany clients to appointments, and collaborate with families and Care Partners to deliver consistent care.

A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, a valid driver’s licence, and checks are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Experience in home care or aged care.
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred in-home care tailored to client goals.
• Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
• Support daily living tasks (meal prep, light cleaning, shopping).
• Accompany clients to appointments and activities.
• Encourage independence and social connection.
• Collaborate with Care Partners and families to deliver consistent care.
• Maintain accurate documentation.

Location: Rosewood, QLD
Job Type: Multiple Casual Positions | 20 hrs fortnight | Availability required Mon & Fri (7 am–6 pm) | Availability across the week preferred.
Remuneration: $41.57 – $46.02 per hour (incl. 25% casual loading) + Super + Salary Packaging + Benefits

About the Role:As a Home Care Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised, in-home support to aged care clients, helping them maintain independence and enjoy a high quality of life. No two days are the same - you’ll be out in the community making a genuine impact.

You Will:

• Provide person-centred care tailored to each client’s goals and preferences
• Assist with personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming)
• Support with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social connection
• Work closely with Care Partners and families to deliver consistent care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable individuals who genuinely care about supporting older people.

You’ll have:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
• Experience working in home care or aged care
• A caring, respectful, and client-focused approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
• A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and a National Police Check
