Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking passionate carers to support older Australians to live independently at home in the Hills area. You will travel between clients, assist with daily in-home tasks, transport, meals, and personal care as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day in-home tasks: cleaning, tidying, washing per care plan
• Provide transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation and social support or respite for carers
• Assist with personal care (showering, dressing if trained)
• Travel between client visits in Hills area

Job description

• Hourly rate from $34.50 to $37.00 + superannuation + $1.11 per km
• Experienced and qualified or brand new to the care industry? Both welcome!
• Location - Travelling to visit clients around the Hills area

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around the Hills area in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
