Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking caring individuals to support older Australians in their homes around Lewisham and surrounding areas. The role travels between client homes, offering in-home tasks, meal prep, transport, and social support as part of a flexible part-time or casual roster.

Excellent communication and reliable team collaboration are essential, with workplace health and safety awareness. Education in Individual Support is valued; driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential.

• Recently increased hourly rate from $34.50 - $42.88 per hour + superannuation + km reimbursement ($1.11 per km)

• Location - Travelling to visit clients around Lewisham and surrounding areas
• Permanent Part Time or casual roles available - flexible hours and days

You will be travelling around Lewisham and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you'll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
