Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is looking for caring individuals to join our in-home care teams across NSW. You will visit clients in their homes, supporting daily tasks while helping them live independently and stay connected to their communities.

Travel around your local area is required, with flexibility in hours. We offer permanent part-time or casual roles, competitive hourly pay, km reimbursement, and opportunities to advance with paid training, including a Certificate 3 in Individual

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential).
• Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential).
• Excellent communication and empathy when working with older Australians.
• Safe patient handling and basic domestic tasks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day in-home tasks (cleaning, tidying, washing).
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation.
• Provide social support or respite for carers.
• Personal care such as showering and dressing if trained.

Day To Day Role Looks Like

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to the older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
