Job summary

SEQUAL Ltd is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Moreton Bay team and support NDIS participants in SIL homes across Caboolture, Deception Bay and Strathpine. You will deliver person-centred care and work with individuals with high and complex needs to improve daily living.

Roles include varied shifts (3–8 hours) with mornings, afternoons and sleepovers. Benefits include training and ongoing support, plus employee perks for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with high intensity needs and challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
• NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card) and Queensland Working With Children Check (blue card) are required.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Driver licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support following individual care plans.
• Provide complex care including peg feeding, catheter care, mealtime management, and seizure management.
• Assist with household tasks such as meal prep, cooking and cleaning.
• Support clients to engage in community and recreational activities (e.g. swimming/hydrotherapy).
• Ensure safe, compliant practices in line with NDIS Code of Conduct and WHS standards.
• Cover a variety of shifts across morning, afternoon and sleepovers.

The role:

We’re on the lookout for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Moreton Bay team to work in SIL homes located in Caboolture, Deception Bay and Strathpine. In this role, you’ll support NDIS participants with physical/intellectual disabilities, high intensity needs and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering person-centred support and following individual care plans.
• Complex cares and support for peg feeding, catheter care, mealtime management plans and seizure management.
• Managing challenging behaviours and following Positive Behaviour Support Plan (training provided by Behaviour Support Practitioner)
• Supporting with household tasks such as meal prep, cooking, and cleaning.
• Assisting clients to engage in community and recreational activities (including swimming/hydrotherapy).
• Ensuring safe, compliant practices in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct and WHS standards.

We have a variety of shifts available covering morning, afternoons and sleepovers. Shift times range from 3-8 hours. We are looking for staff who have flexible availability and willingness to cover a mixture of shifts.

What You’ll Need:

• Experience with high intensity needs, challenging behaviours and supporting clients who are non verbal is extremely desirable.
• Proactive, positive attitude and a passion for working with people with disabilities.
• Current paid NDIS Worker Screening check (yellow card) and Queensland Working With Children Check (blue card).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Driver licence, reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Full working rights in Australia.
