Job summary

Endeavour Foundation on the Gold Coast invites applications for a Casual Disability Support Worker at the L&L Facility in Mermaid Waters. Shifts run 8:00–15:00 with varied, meaningful daily tasks and opportunities to support people with disability to live the life they choose.

The role focuses on helping with everyday living skills, personal care where needed, and community participation, in a respectful, person-centred environment. Training and compliance checks are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Willing to obtain screening and compliance checks, First Aid and CPR.
• Open driver’s licence with comprehensive vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting people to develop everyday living skills including cooking, housekeeping, budgeting and social skills.
• Providing person-centred support, including personal care where required.
• Supporting community participation through activities and social connections.
• Helping people maintain meaningful relationships with family, friends and support services.
• Supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern in a calm, respectful and professional manner.
