Job summary

Endeavour Foundation in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, is seeking Disability Support Workers for part-time roles across our SIL homes. Sleepover shifts and a mix of days and afternoons are available, with open availability required.

You will help people with disabilities live as independently as possible and participate in daily living activities. Ideal candidates are calm, compassionate and professional, with experience supporting complex needs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Ability to work sleepovers and varied shifts across days and weekends.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Help people achieve NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assist with personal care to meet individual needs.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community outings.
• Provide support during daily activities such as walks, trips to the cinema or appointments.
• Help clients maintain connections with family, friends and services.

oin #Teampossible! We have Part-time positions available across our SIL homes in Palmwoods, offering a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports. To be considered for this role, you will be required to have open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts.

Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes across the Sunshine Coast, you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action!

Other Key Duties Will Include

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
• Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
• Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations, and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role.

We Also Require

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Availability to work shifts that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and active overnight supports.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
