Blissful Support Pty Ltd provides person-centred disability support in Shepparton and surrounding areas. This casual role supports participants to increase independence, engage with the community and reach individual goals in their homes and local settings.
You will assist with personal care, meal prep, transport, social activities and daily living tasks, following care plans and organisational procedures. Ongoing training and supportive management are provided.
You will support participants to increase their independence, participate in the community and work towards their individual goals. This is a casual disability support position providing person-centred care to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community.
Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
Supporting participants with complex health needs
Supporting participants with meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and daily household tasks
Providing community access and transport to appointments, activities, employment or education
Supporting participants with medication in accordance with their support plans and organisational procedures
Assisting with mobility, transfers and manual handling
Supporting participants with social engagement and independent living skills
Following behaviour support plans and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern
Monitoring and reporting changes in a participant's health, behaviour or wellbeing
Completing accurate case notes, incident reports and other required documentation
A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification
Previous experience in disability support, mental health, nursing or community services
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A person-centred approach to supporting people with disability
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work across shifts times including, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays
