Quirindi Care Services is seeking Support Service Workers to provide hospitality services in our aged care home on a casual basis. You will support residents, their families and care staff while helping to create a welcoming home environment.

The role covers meal preparation, dining service, cleaning and laundry, with shifts designed to offer flexibility and positive impact on residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dietary services, including meals and drinks.
• Assist the chef with meal prep, cleaning and kitchen duties.
• Distribute meals to residents and provide dining room service.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout resident rooms and facilities.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished.
• Support laundry service through item checking and labelling.

The Role

Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. Working Casual, you will build strong relationships with our residents, families and Care Staff contributing the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident’s quality of life.

What you will do:

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labelling

What you will bring:

• Currently hold a NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)
