Job summary

Resthaven on Quarry in Queensland is seeking a Casual Personal Care Worker to support residents with a person-centred approach in a warm, well-maintained aged care home.

You will provide personal care, mobility support, assistance with meals, and dignity-focused daily routines in line with individual Care Plans while building trusting relationships within a respectful, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or studying) – mandatory.
• NDIS Worker Clearance – mandatory.
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care per Care Plan, including hygiene and continence care.
• Support mobility and falls prevention using aids.
• Assist with eating, drinking, and dietary requirements.
• Provide basic skin care and repositioning.

Your Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience in providing a person-centred approach to care. Working

Casual, you will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.

Duties Include

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

You Will Bring

• A Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or currently studying) - mandatory
• NDIS Worker Clearance - mandatory
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting
• A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Compassionate and Empathetic nature
