Job summary

Quirindi Care Services in Quirindi, NSW, is seeking a Personal Care Worker to deliver person-centred care to residents in our aged care facility. You will support daily living activities, mobility, personal hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing, following the resident's care plan to help them live their best life.

The role requires a Cert III in Aged Care (or current study), NDIS Worker Clearance, valid Australian work rights, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Cert III in Aged Care or current study.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience in providing a person-centred approach to care. You will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.

What You’ll Do

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

To be successful you will need:

• A minimum Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or currently studying) - MANDATORY
• NDIS Worker Clearance – MANDATORY https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/services/ndiswc
• Valid working rights in Australia– MANDATORY
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting
• A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Compassionate and Empathetic nature
