Job summary

Quirindi Care Services is seeking casual Support Service Workers to provide hospitality in our aged care home. You will work alongside residents, families and care staff to create a welcoming, homelike atmosphere while delivering meals, cleaning and laundry support.

We offer flexible shifts, competitive hourly rates, and opportunities for professional development. Applicants should hold or be willing to obtain NDIS Worker Clearance and demonstrate empathy and clear communication.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Clearance required or willingness to obtain.
• Hospitality or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and empathy; understanding of resident rights and aged care standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks.
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Distribution of meals to residents and dining room services.
• Cleaning throughout resident rooms and facility.
• Completing required documentation and reporting.
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished.
• Contribute to a laundry service including item checking and labelling.

The Role Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. Working Casual, you will build strong relationships with our residents, families and Care Staff contributing the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident’s quality of life.

What you will bring:

• Currently hold a NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)
