Job summary

Quirindi Care Services is seeking a dedicated Support Service Worker to provide hospitality, catering, cleaning and laundry within our aged care home. You will build strong relationships with residents, families and staff to help create a welcoming, home-like environment that supports residents' quality of life.

Applicants should have hospitality or customer service experience, excellent communication, and the right to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Currently hold a NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) – MANDATORY
• Valid Working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labeling

The Role:

Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. You will build strong relationships with our residents, families and Care Staff contributing the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident’s quality of life.
