THE POSITION

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing day-to-day support service operations across the hospital
• Managing workforce planning, rostering, staffing allocation and leave management
• Driving service excellence through audits, inspections and compliance monitoring
• Ensuring adherence to healthcare cleaning standards, infection prevention protocols and workplace safety requirements
• Managing budgets, labour costs, stock control and operational performance
• Leading recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members
• Investigating incidents, hazards and customer feedback, implementing effective corrective actions
• Building strong partnerships with hospital stakeholders and clinical teams
• Creating a positive team culture focused on safety, respect and engagement
• Identifying opportunities for service improvement and business growth

THE PERSON

You are an experienced operational leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional service outcomes while developing high-performing teams.

You will bring:

• Proven experience managing support services, facilities or operational teams in a large and complex environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop diverse teams
• Demonstrated experience managing rosters, workforce planning and labour costs
• A genuine commitment to workplace safety and compliance
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong administrative and computer skills, with experience using workforce management and reporting systems
• The ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a dynamic environment
• A commitment to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and operational excellence
• A current Police Check or willingness to obtain one

Highly regarded:

• Previous experience within a healthcare or hospital environment
• Understanding of healthcare cleaning standards and infection prevention practices
• Experience with systems such as Deputy, payroll platforms, audit tools and reporting software
• Recruitment and interviewing experience
