Job summary

Queensland Health's Princess Alexandra Hospital is seeking a Theatre Services Leader to supervise Theatre Support Supervisors and Officers, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality theatre services and strong teamwork with nursing, surgical and operational staff.

You will guide performance, coordinate staffing and resources, monitor quality and safety, and drive continuous improvements across the theatre environment, while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and developing staff in a service environment.
• Strong operational management skills, including workforce coordination and resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clinical and operational teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies, workplace health and safety requirements and theatre environments.

Lead a dedicated team supporting safe, efficient and high-quality theatre services at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Lead and coordinate Theatre Support services at PAH, supporting staff performance, operational efficiency, patient safety and continuous improvement across the theatre environment.

Your new role:

As a key leader within Theatre Support Services, you will supervise and coordinate Theatre Support Supervisors and Theatre Support Officers to ensure a safe, efficient and high-quality service. Working closely with nursing, surgical and operational teams, you will foster a positive workplace culture while supporting staff performance, resolving escalated issues and driving service improvements.

You will:

• Lead and support Theatre Support staff to deliver services safely, efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate staffing, resources, performance management and operational priorities across the theatre environment.
• Monitor quality, compliance and performance, including KPI reporting and regular CARPS quality checks.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, evaluate the impact of change and educate staff on updated standards and procedures.
• Support patient safety, workplace health and safety, and respectful, inclusive service delivery.

You are an experienced operational leader who can confidently coordinate people, resources and competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.
