Job summary

UBank, based in Sydney, seeks a Supplier Governance Specialist to govern and monitor its supplier ecosystem, ensuring contractual, risk and regulatory obligations are met throughout the relationship lifecycle.

You will align with the CPS 230 framework, conduct evidence gathering, reporting and supplier reviews, and work with Risk, Technology, Legal and vendor teams to resolve governance issues. This is a Sydney-based permanent role with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in supplier/vendor management, procurement, third-party risk, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of CPS 230 and CPS 234 or similar regulatory requirements.
• Experience coordinating governance activities and third-party risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance coordination and monitoring support for material and higher-risk supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier obligations, performance, risk and compliance including CPS 230/234.
• Gather evidence for audits and regulatory reviews and maintain records for compliance.
• Coordinate regular supplier reviews covering performance, resilience, risk and contracts.
• Track obligations, findings and remediation actions with proactive follow-up.
• Support vendor risk assessments, due diligence and lifecycle reviews.
• Maintain supplier governance records and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Risk, Technology, Security and Legal teams to resolve issues.

About the role:

The Supplier Governance Specialist supports the effective governance and monitoring of Ubank's supplier ecosystem, helping ensure suppliers meet contractual, operational, risk and regulatory obligations throughout the relationship lifecycle.

The role supports Ubank's CPS 230 aligned supplier governance framework through ongoing monitoring, risk and governance activities, evidence management, reporting and identification of emerging supplier risks and issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide governance coordination and monitoring support to Business Relationship Managers responsible for material and higher-risk supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier obligations, performance, risk and compliance requirements, including CPS 230, CPS 234 and applicable internal policies and standards.
• Gather and maintain evidence required for audits, regulatory reviews and CPS 230 and CPS 234 compliance activities
• Coordinate regular supplier reviews covering performance, resilience, risk, incidents and contractual obligations.
• Track key obligations, events, findings, treatment plans and remediation actions, proactively following up overdue items.
• Support supplier risk assessment processes, due diligence requirements and periodic lifecycle reviews.
• Maintain supplier governance records, registers to ensure completeness, accuracy and audit readiness
• Identify emerging supplier risks, control gaps and early warning indicators and escalates issues where appropriate.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of supplier governance reporting, dashboards and management information for Relationship Managers, risk stakeholders and governance forums..
• Work closely with Risk, Technology, Security, Legal and suppliers to resolve governance issues and complete required activities.
• Support Relationship Managers with supplier governance guidance, tools and training.
• Contribute to the simplification, digitisation and continuous improvement of supplier governance processes.

Your Experience

• 3+ years' relevant experience in supplier/vendor management, procurement, third-party risk, operational risk, technology risk or a related discipline, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge and working experience of CPS 230 and CPS 234 or similar regulatory requirements is essential.
• Experience coordinating supplier governance activities and third-party risk management principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, trends and insights from supplier information.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence working across business and risk teams.
• High attention to detail and disciplined documentation and evidence management.
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, risk or third-party governance systems would be advantageous.
• Experience with technology, digital or cloud-based suppliers would be beneficial.
