Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is advertising a Supervisor – Fixed Plant Underground Assets in Mount Isa, Queensland. The role leads the Fixed Plant Underground Assets team, including underground crusher, compressors and dewatering systems, with a focus on safety, performance and improvements.

The position requires a Mechanical Trade Qualification, SAP S/4HANA knowledge, 5+ years of leadership experience, and exposure to conveyor/crushing environments. Roaster: 8/6, residential, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold Mechanical Trade Qualification (Boilermaker or Fitter).
• Understand asset maintenance systems and processes.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements.
• At least 5 years in leading people.
• Queensland Manual Driver's Licence (and S1,S2,S3).
• Knowledge of conveyor systems and crushing environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly schedule to meet KPIs and forecast costs.
• Provide accurate daily/weekly performance information to management.
• Demonstrate safety leadership for surface assets teams and culture.
• Mentor and coach to build employee competency.
• Manage assigned cost centre and capital projects.
• Ensure effective shift handover processes.
• Support reliability team on asset planning for reliability.
• Lead compliance with GFM policies and procedures.
• Drive resource optimisation and continuous improvement to minimise costs.
