Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines in Queensland seeks an experienced Supervisor Fixed Surface Assets to join the George Fisher Mine Maintenance Team.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance & Operations, you will provide visible leadership across the Fixed Surface Assets team, ensuring the safe and effective execution of maintenance activities, compliance with weekly schedules and KPIs, and driving performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in maintenance infrastructure, with Crushing Systems experience desirable.
• At least 5 years' experience leading people and maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of asset maintenance systems and processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Understanding of mining systems, processes and their interrelationships.
• Knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements relevant to underground mining.
• Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of financial management, budgeting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership across GFM and ensure compliance with Glencore policies, standards and procedures.
• Lead the health and safety performance of the Surface Assets team.
• Ensure compliance with the weekly maintenance schedule, established KPIs and forecast costs.
• Communicate accurate and relevant information to line management regarding daily performance and progress against the weekly schedule.
• Develop a positive team culture aligned with Glencore values through mentoring, coaching and employee development.
• Optimise assigned resources and drive continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste.
• Manage the assigned cost centre and capital projects.
• Ensure effective shift handovers are completed.
• Work closely with the reliability team to support asset planning and improve equipment reliability.
• Develop and maintain budgets for the Fixed Underground Assets team and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Support the effective management and maintenance of critical Hoisting and Shaft Assets.
• Promote strong safety, performance and accountability across the maintenance team.

Our client, Glencore Mount Isa Mines, is seeking an experienced Supervisor Fixed Surface Assets to join the George Fisher Mine Maintenance Team.Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance & Operations, this is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to provide visible leadership across the George Fisher Mine, with responsibility for the safety, performance and continuous improvement of the team maintaining critical Hoisting and Shaft Assets. The Opportunity

Working closely with maintenance, reliability, operations and engineering teams, you will provide visible supervision across the Fixed Surface Assets team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective execution of maintenance activities, compliance with weekly schedules and established KPIs, while driving team performance, asset reliability and continuous improvement across the George Fisher Mine's Surface Assets.

Experience Required

The successful applicant will have:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification and/or degree qualification in Engineering or a relevant
• 5+ years' experience within maintenance infrastructure, with Crushing Systems experience highly desirable.
• At least 5 years' experience leading people and maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of asset maintenance systems and processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Understanding of mining systems, processes and their interrelationships.
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements relevant to underground mining.
