Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is advertising for a Supervisor – Fixed Plant Surface Assets in Mount Isa, Queensland. You will supervise the Surface Assets team and ensure safety, performance and continuous improvement of assets including Surface Crusher Plant, vent fans, chillers, paste and batch plants, dewatering pumps and piping.

The role is residential with an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and 12-hour shifts. Applicants should hold a Mechanical Trade qualification (Boilermaker or Fitter) and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification (Boilermaker or Fitter) is required.
• Experience with asset maintenance systems and processes.
• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods.
• Experience in leading people (min 5 years).
• Queensland Manual Drivers License required.
• Knowledge of conveyor systems and crushing environments.
• Familiarity with risk management and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to weekly schedule to meet KPIs and forecast costs.
• Provide accurate and timely performance updates to line management.
• Provide safety leadership across the site and team.
• Mentor and coach to build employee competency.
• Manage assigned cost centre and capital projects.
• Ensure shift handover is executed effectively.
• Support reliability team on asset planning to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with GFM policies, standards and procedures.
• Drive resource optimization and continuous cost/waste reduction.
