Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. is offering two 24-month Fixed Term Contract positions on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Supervisor Underground Projects (Mechanical), you will deliver mechanical capital projects through the execution phase, ensuring safe outcomes, effective contractor performance, schedule adherence, budget control and seamless handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Underground supervision experience in mining or similar complex environments.
• Experience delivering construction or capital projects in mining/heavy industry.
• Strong stakeholder relationships across operations and contractors.
• Planning, coordinating and prioritising competing project activities.
• Clear communication and ability to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project variations, reporting and updates in project systems.
• Maintain quality documentation, completions and work packs.
• Provide constructability input during project study phases.
• Manage permits, shutdowns and cross-functional interfaces.
