Job summary

Efficient Recruitment Services Pty Ltd on behalf of Manesh Group – Palms Supermarket in Cairns City is seeking a Retail Store Manager to take day-to-day control of the supermarket, lift sales performance, and lead the store team.

Experience in high-volume grocery retail and strong leadership are essential. The role is full-time and on-site in Cairns, with salary between AU$80,000 and AU$90,000 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant retail or supermarket management experience.
• Diploma or higher qualification.
• Proven ability to run a high-volume supermarket with stock, pricing, promotions and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Decide the grocery, fresh food and household range carried in the supermarket and stock levels.
• Maintain service standards at checkouts, deli, produce and customer service.
• Plan store promotions and local advertising to boost visibility.
• Keep accurate stock and sales records and manage the store budget.
• Recruit, roster, train and supervise supermarket staff.
• Ensure health and safety, food safety, security and company policy.
