Job summary

MANESH GROUP – Palms Supermarket in Cairns City is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations. You will decide ranges, set stock levels, and maintain service standards across checkout, deli, produce and customer service.

The role requires at least one year of retail or supermarket management experience and a Diploma or Higher. On-site, full-time position with competitive salary of AU$80,000–AU$90,000 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant retail or supermarket management experience.

Responsibilities

• Decide the grocery, fresh food and household range carried in the supermarket and set stock levels on the floor and in the back room.
• Fix and maintain service standards at checkouts, deli, produce and customer service.
• Plan and run store promotions, specials and local advertising to keep the range visible to the community.
• Keep accurate stock and sales records and do budgeting for the supermarket; monitor labour, waste and shrinkage.
• Recruit, roster, train and supervise supermarket staff and coach them on merchandising and customer service.
• Ensure the store meets workplace health and safety, food safety, security and company policy requirements.

Put in place buying and in-store marketing approaches suited to a Cairns supermarket and agree retail prices Plan and run store promotions, specials and local advertising so the supermarket’s range is visible to the community Keep accurate stock and sales records and do budgeting for the supermarket.
