Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton is seeking a Breakfast Commis Chef to join a vibrant culinary team. The role starts at 5.00am and finishes by 1.00pm, supporting breakfast, lunch and dinner prep with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Formal qualifications and experience in a busy hotel kitchen are required, along with strong cooking techniques, food safety and a passion for learning new skills. You will collaborate with front-of-house to ensure guests enjoy a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver breakfast service with high standard for hotel guests.
• Assist in preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner within recipes and portions.
• Ensure all food items meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist requisition of food and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations for safe handling and storage.
• Coordinate with banquet/catering for special orders and dietary needs.
• Conduct quality checks on freshness and appearance of dishes.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
