Job summary

Viva Leisure is seeking a Studio Manager to lead GROUNDUP Braddon in Canberra. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive membership growth, and maintain exceptional member experiences in a premium boutique space offering Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga and Barre.

You will mentor a high-performing team, lead sales and service initiatives, and ensure brand standards across all touchpoints. The role combines wellness passion with strong business leadership in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of the fitness and wellness industry with a focus on member experiences.
• Proven people management and leadership experience with high-performing teams.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within fitness/retail.
• Proven sales aptitude with ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with members and staff.
• Ability to mentor diverse teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational and process management skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

As Studio Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring every touchpoint reflects excellence and aligns with our holistic approach to wellness. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Skilled in mentoring and supporting diverse teams, fostering growth and future leadership potential.


• Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational, administrative, and process management skills.


• Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook), with familiarity in member booking systems and CRM platforms (desirable).


• Demonstrated experience in a similar Studio, Boutique, Spa, or Club Management role (desirable).

• Oversee day-to-day studio operations, ensuring the space is clean, safe, organised and aligned with brand standards


• Manage opening and closing procedures, maintenance coordination, inventory control and safety compliance


• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and member satisfaction


• Recruit, onboard and develop a high-performing team through coaching, training and regular performance feedback


• Manage staff rosters and payroll while fostering a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture
