Job summary

Viva Leisure is offering a Future Leaders Programme at Five Dock in Sydney, aiming to advance Assistant Club Managers into Club Managers. You will support daily operations, gain mentorship, and lead a high-performing team while driving membership growth and delivering programs.

You will receive hands-on leadership development, performance feedback, and exposure to governance and community engagement across busy club facilities.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
• Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth by proactively following up on leads and walk-ins to maximise conversion.
• Monitor club performance metrics and support improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff to enhance sales and customer service capabilities.
• Ensure accurate onboarding of new members, including inductions and access setup.
• Promote additional services such as Personal Training, Programs, and Group Fitness to enhance member experience.
• Collaborate with the Club Manager on local marketing initiatives and community engagement.
• Respond to member enquiries and complaints, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of club facilities and equipment.
• Lead by example, fostering a positive team culture and supporting staff development and recruitment.
• Manage and support Group Fitness and Personal Training operations, including timetabling, recruitment, and lead generation.

Viva Leisure, parent company to Club Lime, is looking for peopleinterested in development opportunities that may lead to clubmanagement through our Future Leaders Programme, designed todevelop Assistant Club Managers into future Club Managers with apathway to running your very own club.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Five Dock club. Open 24/7on Queens Road, it puts you in the heart of Sydney's inner west,about 10km from the CBD and minutes from the Great North Road cafeand restaurant strip. It's a close-knit local community with aloyal member base, which makes it a great club to build yourleadership skills in.

You'll support the Club Manager in day to day operations whilegaining hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders,personalised development and regular feedback. Responsibilitiesinclude helping lead and develop a high-performing team,maintaining a clean, safe and well presented facility, deliveringengaging programs, driving new membership sales, and stepping up asthe club's primary point of contact in the Club Manager'sabsence.

SKILLS& EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with:

• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff toenhance sales and customer service capabilities
• Ensure accurate onboarding of new members, includinginductions and access setup
• Promote additional services such as Personal Training,Programs, and Group Fitness to enhance member experience
• Collaborate with the Club Manager on local marketinginitiatives and community engagement
• Respond to member enquiries and complaints, escalatingissues as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of clubfacilities and equipment
• Support safety compliance through audits, incidentreporting, and hazard management
• Assist with administrative duties and ensure adherence tocompany policies and procedures
• Lead by example, fostering a positive team culture andsupporting staff development and recruitment
• Manage and support Group Fitness and Personal Trainingoperations, including timetabling, recruitment, and leadgeneration
