OVERVIEW Barrington College is hiring a full‑time Student Services Administrator based at its Brisbane campus in Queensland, Australia. The role supports both international and domestic students while helping maintain efficient student services operations across the college. This position contributes to student engagement, administrative compliance, and high‑quality service delivery within a diverse educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process student enrolments, applications, and admissions documentation accurately and within required timelines
- Provide administrative support to student services staff and trainers
- Schedule appointments, manage databases, and maintain student records
- Understand and process applications through PRISMS
- Provide general administrative and reception support
- Respond to student enquiries regarding enrolment, fees, academic requirements, and college policies by phone, email, and in person
- Assist with the coordination of student orientation programs and induction events
- Prepare and maintain administrative records, reports, and documentation in line with college policies and procedures
- Support the organisation of student services events, workshops, and seminars
- Liaise with academic departments and external organisations to support student progression and services
- Assist with collecting and processing student fees and payment information
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information professionally and discreetly
Requirements
- Proven experience in a student services role for a CRICOS provider or in an administrative support role
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using student information systems or databases
- Demonstrated customer service skills and commitment to supporting student needs
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Relevant administrative or business qualification is desirable but not essential
