Job summary

Murdoch University seeks a Fees and Reporting Officer to support student fee collection, HELP compliance, OS-HELP eligibility, debt remission decisions, and refund processing under Fee Rules. The role also oversees TCSI reporting and related financial governance.

The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, handle sensitive cases with tact, and take ownership of tasks to ensure accurate outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• Understanding of current regulatory requirements relating to student administration.
• Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in administering financial programs including monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage fee collection in compliance with HELP legislation and University requirements.
• Assess OS-HELP eligibility and remission of debt under special circumstances.
• Process refund requests in line with Fee Rules and oversee reporting under TCSI.
• Make decisions on remission of debt balancing policy with individual circumstances.
• Represent the unit in providing accurate financial reporting and contributing to student administrative outcomes.
