Job summary

Murdoch University is seeking a Fees and Reporting Officer to support student fee and reporting functions. You will oversee fee collection, compliance with HELP legislation, OS-HELP eligibility, debt remission decisions, and refunds under the University’s Fee Rules.

You will also handle TCSI reporting obligations, balancing policy requirements with individual circumstances in a fair and considered manner. The role suits someone detail-focused and capable of managing sensitive cases.

Qualifications

• Degree with subsequent work experience; or an equivalent combination or relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Understanding of current regulatory requirements relating to student administration.
• Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in administering financial programs including providing ongoing monitoring of compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process fee collections and ensure compliance with HELP legislation and University requirements.
• Assess OS-HELP eligibility and evaluate remission of debt applications.
• Process refund requests in accordance with the University’s Fee Rules.
• Oversee reporting obligations under the TCSI framework.
• Make fair, policy-based decisions on remission of debt under special circumstances.
• Proactively follow matters through to achieve optimal outcomes for students.
