Job summary

EDU Holdings’ Sydney Campus is seeking a Student Events and Engagement Coordinator to drive online and on-campus initiatives, coordinating Orientation and Graduation, and supporting Student Ambassadors.

You will manage student communications, develop inclusive content celebrating Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, accessible and culturally diverse communities, and work with campus teams to deliver engaging experiences.

Qualifications

• Qualification in relevant field, undergraduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in events, community management or student administration.
• Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of events and projects.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Discord) and other communication channels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office365.
• Creative thinking and ability to innovate for EDU and subsidiaries.
• Cross cultural awareness.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivery of events and engagement activities and projects across all campuses.
• Assist in planning and delivery of annual Graduation ceremonies.
• Support on-campus Student Experience teams with Orientation.
• Monitor and report on event participation.
• In partnership with Marketing, assist in development of promotional material including website updates, newsletters, socials and printed collateral.
• Develop engaging, timely content to support the 2026-2028 Student Engagement Plan across channels.
• Collaborate with student ambassadors to promote authentic student voice and relay needs of the wider student population.
• Monitor and report on engagement success through surveys and feedback.
• Provide feedback on potential improvements in systems, processes and services.

About the role

As the Student Events and Engagement Coordinator at our Sydney Campus, you’ll drive vibrant online and on-campus initiatives that unite our diverse student body. Working alongside Student Ambassadors and campus teams, you’ll coordinate major events like Orientation and Graduation, manage student communication channels, and create inclusive content celebrating Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, accessible, and culturally diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

Events

• Assist in planning and delivery of events and engagement activities and projects across all campuses.
• Assist in planning and delivery of annual Graduation ceremonies.
• Support on-campus Student Experience teams with the planning and delivery of Orientation.
• Monitor and report on event participation.

Engagement

• Develop engaging, timely and relevant content to support the 2026-2028 Student Engagement Plan, leveraging new and existing communication channels such as student hub, publications and social media.
• Collaborate with student ambassadors to promote an authentic student voice and facilitate the communication of their ideas and the needs of the wider student population.
• Monitor and report on engagement success through surveys, participation tracking student feedback.
• Provide feedback regarding potential improvements in systems, processes, and services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification in relevant field, undergraduate or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years' experience in events, community management or student administration.
• Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of events and projects
• Working knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Discord) and other communication channels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office365
