Decode Group is seeking an experienced Structural Site Supervisor to oversee formwork operations across residential, commercial, and complex projects in Newcastle and surrounding areas. You will coordinate formwork teams, subcontractors and site activities to ensure safe, efficient delivery to high standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of formwork systems, and the ability to read structural drawings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising formwork teams on residential, commercial, or complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems and structural requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and plans.
• Experience coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, safety mindset and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate formwork teams across construction sites.
• Plan daily works, allocate labour and coordinate materials/equipment.
• Set out and oversee formwork installation including slabs, columns, walls, stairs, etc.
• Read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Ensure formwork is constructed accurately per engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Project Managers, Engineers and other trades to maintain programme.
• Monitor quality, productivity and workmanship through all stages.
• Conduct pre-pour inspections and ensure formwork readiness for concrete placement.
• Manage stripping and dismantling of formwork safely and efficiently.
• Identify and resolve site issues, discrepancies and potential delays.
• Ensure WHS compliance and site procedures.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Structural Site Supervisor to oversee formwork operations across our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating formwork teams, subcontractors and site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating formwork teams across residential construction sites.
• Planning daily works, allocating labour and coordinating materials and equipment.
• Setting out and overseeing formwork installation, including slabs, columns, walls, stairs and other structural elements.
• Reading and interpreting structural drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ensuring formwork is constructed accurately and in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Coordinating with Site Managers, Project Managers, Engineers and other trades to maintain programme.
• Monitoring quality, productivity and workmanship throughout each stage of the project.
• Conducting pre-pour inspections and ensuring all formwork is ready for concrete placement.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Structural Site Supervisor who can take ownership of formwork operations and lead a team to deliver quality results on residential construction projects.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience supervising formwork teams within residential, commercial, mixed use, industrial or complex building projects
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, construction methods and structural requirements.
• The ability to read and interpret structural drawings and plans.
• Previous experience coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a site team.
• A strong focus on safety, quality and productivity.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and project deadlines.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving issues on site.
• The ability to work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, Project Managers and other trades.
• A strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
• A reliable, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
