Job summary

AECOM Sydney is seeking a Technical Director level Structural Engineer to lead the Sydney Structures Team. You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers and manage major projects from concept to delivery.

This senior leadership role within our national Building Engineering team offers hybrid work options, client engagement, and opportunities to grow our structural capability across ANZ while delivering landmark projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with extensive structural engineering experience.
Chartered Professional Engineer registration or equivalent.
Experience delivering complex structural projects with knowledge of Australian codes and standards.
Proven leadership, design reviews, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Project Director or senior project leadership experience with strong management skills.
Strong client-facing and communication skills with a track record of securing new work.
Experience mentoring senior and junior engineers and developing future leaders.

Responsibilities

Lead a team delivering landmark structural and multidisciplinary projects.
Provide technical leadership across projects, including design reviews and technical assurance.
Act as Project Director on major projects with clients and project teams from concept to delivery.
Mentor and develop the Sydney structural team to grow senior engineers.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to proposals and work wins.
Share technical knowledge to uphold engineering standards across the Buildings group.
