Job summary

Funlab, Australia’s leading creator of competitive socialising experiences, is hiring a Facilities Technician for Strike Bowling in Bowen Hills. You’ll maintain venue equipment, liaise with the Venue Manager, and keep the preventative maintenance schedule up to date.

We’re seeking hands-on, technically minded people who work well autonomously and with the team, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety.

Qualifications

• Natural technical/mechanical aptitude.
• Proven technical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to systematically work through complex problems.
• A willingness to learn and problem solve.
• A mature, collaborative and positive approach to work.
• Ability to work autonomously but communicate effectively with the team.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with Funlab systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue.
• Stay in contact with Venue Manager and Facilities support by emails, invites and logs to follow up on tasks.
• Complete the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for bowling/amusement activities and venue devices.
• Maintain databases and spare parts.
• Maintain workplace safety standards.
• Work with Area Facilities Manager to coordinate external trades.
• General facility upkeep; painting, patching, plumbing, repairs.

What You'll Do:

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue
• Staying in close contact with your Venue Manager and Facilities support team by responding to emails, calendar invites and logs to follow up on all maintenance tasks
• Completion of the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all bowling/amusement activities and venue attractions/devices
• Maintaining databases and spare parts
• Maintain workplace standard in regards to site safety
• Working with your Area Facilities Manager to sign off and book external trades needed in venue
• General facility upkeep; painting, patching, basic plumbing, repairs you name it!

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, with ongoing support from the national technical team.
