Job summary

Funlab is seeking a Facilities Technician to join Strike Bowling & Archie Brothers in Sydney's Entertainment Quarter. You will maintain venue equipment, coordinate with the Facilities team, and support preventative maintenance across bowling and amusement activities.

The role emphasises hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously with strong communication. Training will be provided by the national technical team, with opportunities to grow within a leading

Qualifications

• Natural technical/mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance ability.
• Proven technical or mechanical experience in facility environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to issues.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within Funlab contexts.
• Mature, collaborative, and positive work attitude with teamwork mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively communicating with the team.
• Solid computer skills and the ability to work with Funlab systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue.
• Respond to emails, calendar invites and logs to follow up on maintenance tasks.
• Complete the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for venue activities and attractions.
• Maintain databases and spare parts inventories.
• Maintain workplace safety standards and site conditions.
• Coordinate with Area Facilities Manager to sign off on external trades.
• General facility upkeep including basic painting, patching, and plumbing.

What You'll Do:

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue
• Staying in close contact with your Venue Manager and Facilities support team by responding to emails, calendar invites and logs to follow up on all maintenance tasks
• Completion of the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all bowling/amusement activities and venue attractions/devices
• Maintaining databases and spare parts
• Maintain workplace standard in regards to site safety
• Working with your Area Facilities Manager to sign off and book external trades needed in venue
• General facility upkeep; painting, patching, basic plumbing, repairs you name it!

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, with ongoing support from the national technical team.
