Job summary

Funlab is seeking a Facilities Technician to join Strike Bowling and Archie Brothers at Entertainment Quarter, Sydney. You will maintain all venue equipment and support the venue team to ensure smooth operations across eight brands and 50+ venues.

This role focuses on preventative maintenance, site safety, and collaboration with the Facilities team. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from our national technical team to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
• Proven technical or mechanical experience.
• Willingness to learn and problem solve.
• Able to work autonomously and communicate with the team.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with Funlab systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue.
• Coordinate with Venue Manager and Facilities team to follow up maintenance tasks.
• Complete Preventative Maintenance Schedule for activities and attractions.
• Maintain databases and spare parts.
• Uphold workplace safety standards.
• Coordinate with Area Facilities Manager for external trades.
• General venue upkeep: painting, basic plumbing, repairs.

What You'll Do:

• Maintenance of all pieces of equipment in the venue
• Staying in close contact with your Venue Manager and Facilities support team by responding to emails, calendar invites and logs to follow up on all maintenance tasks
• Completion of the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all bowling/amusement activities and venue attractions/devices
• Maintaining databases and spare parts
• Maintain workplace standard in regards to site safety
• Working with your Area Facilities Manager to sign off and book external trades needed in venue
• General facility upkeep; painting, patching, basic plumbing, repairs you name it!

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, with ongoing support from the national technical team.
What You’ve Got:

• Natural technical/mechanical aptitude
• Proven technical or mechanical experience
• Ability to systematically work through complex problems
• A willingness to learn and problem solve
• A mature, collaborative and positive approach to your work
• An ability to work autonomously but also communicate effectively to the team
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work with Funlab systems
