Job summary

Randstad Pty is partnering with a prominent federal government agency in the disability sector to recruit an APS6 Planner for the Safeguarding Advisory Team. You will provide expert risk assessments and safeguarding guidance under a case management framework to support vulnerable participants across national services.

The role requires Australian citizenship, baselines clearance, and the ability to work within statutory guidelines. This is a 12-month contract at $60.26/hr, based in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing complex, sensitive information and providing evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including handling sensitive conversations with empathy.
• Ability to interpret statutory frameworks, guidelines, and procedures with integrity.
• Organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather risk information and assess complex participant circumstances.
• Provide evidence-based safeguarding advice and pathways for staff.
• Work with participants requiring urgent safeguarding interventions under a case management model.
• Interpret and apply legislation, policy, and guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external statutory bodies.
• Coach and guide team members and drive continuous service improvements.
