Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS6 Planner to join the Safeguarding Advisory Team in a Federal Government environment. Based in Parramatta or Wollongong, you will assess complex participant situations, develop safeguarding advice, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to protect people at risk.

The role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) with a starting date 11 January 2027. Applicants must be Australian citizens, able to obtain AGSVA Baseline Clearance and NDIS

Qualifications

• Experience assessing complex and sensitive information and identifying key risks.
• Ability to develop evidence-based safeguarding advice.
• Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team and adhere to procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case/records management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex and sensitive participant situations, identifying risks and recommending safeguarding actions.
• Develop evidence-based safeguarding advice for complex matters.
• Provide clear written and verbal advice to stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions and guidance on safeguarding issues.
• Liaise with government agencies and service providers to support safeguarding outcomes.
• Manage urgent safeguarding interventions within a case management framework.
• Contribute to quality improvement and organisational capability uplift.
• Support and mentor colleagues to enhance service delivery.
