Job summary

Randstad is seeking a skilled Safeguarding Planner (APS6) in Australia to identify, assess and manage risks related to complex participant circumstances within the federal government sector. This role provides specialised guidance to staff, liaises with external bodies, and interprets legislation and policy.

The APS6 Planner will mentor junior staff, monitor workflow capacity, and lead quality improvement initiatives to strengthen service delivery and systems. Commencement is January 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage risks for complex and sensitive participant circumstances.
• Provide urgent and short-term safeguarding interventions under a case management model.
• Offer clear, specialised written and verbal advice and pathway options to internal staff.
• Liaise with external entities and interpret applicable legislation and policy.
• Coach and mentor staff (APS3–APS5) where needed and monitor team capacity.
