4Tel, based in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and secure new railway market opportunities. The role involves building strategic relationships with rail infrastructure managers, operators, and partners, while coordinating tenders and proposals to drive growth.

It is a full-time, on-site position at Warabrook with occasional travel. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in business development in rail or transport, strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development or customer-facing roles, preferably within rail/transport.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with rail infrastructure managers and train operators.
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities through market research and customer interactions.
• Assess tender opportunities and coordinate high-quality submissions.
• Occasional interstate and overseas travel to support engagement.
• Perform other duties as required.
