Job summary

Legal Aid NSW is seeking a Senior People Partner to work with senior leaders, providing strategic workforce guidance, strengthening leadership accountability and fostering a positive workplace culture across NSW. You will balance legal, operational, cultural and employee considerations on a range of workforce matters.

This role supports workforce planning, succession and capability development, partnering across HR to deliver integrated solutions and drive continuous improvement in people

Qualifications

• Senior HR partnering role requiring sound judgement and accountability.
• Advising senior leaders on workforce matters and employee relations.
• Experience in a unionised or public sector environment is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Executive Directors, senior leaders and managers to provide strategic workforce and people advice aligned with organisational objectives.
• Coach and support leaders to confidently manage performance, conduct, workplace change and employee relations matters.
• Lead and provide advice on complex and sensitive people matters, balancing legal, operational, cultural and employee considerations.
• Support workforce planning, succession planning and capability development initiatives to meet current and future needs.
• Collaborate with HR specialists to deliver integrated people solutions that strengthen leadership capability and culture.
• Contribute to HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance processes and the employee experience.
