Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Payroll Costing & General Ledger Business Advisor to join our Financial Services team in Australia on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This dual role covers the Australian General Ledger and supports the People Solutions team, ensuring accurate payroll accounting.

You will maintain the Australian general ledger, manage the payroll–GL interface, perform reconciliations, and support SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Corporate Finance or related discipline.
• CPA certification would be desirable but not essential.
• Experience with financial accounting concepts and processes.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Costing: maintain the GL for the Australian region including chart of accounts, monthly consolidation and submission to the U.S.
• Payroll Costing & Accounting: manage the interface between payroll and GL ensuring payroll is costed correctly.
• Controllership: perform GL reconciliations and support SOX controls and Cost Analyst team.
