Job summary

Allens in Sydney is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team and manage end-to-end payroll processing across the organisation. You will maintain payroll data, process wage changes and entitlements, and support month-end reconciliations.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of payroll experience in a medium to large organisation, with strong Excel abilities and a solid grasp of Australian payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• Three years of payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation (PAYG, Superannuation, leave entitlements).
• Experience using iChris payroll system is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and data reconciliation.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing and payroll administration activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data within payroll and HR systems.
• Process payroll transactions including new starters, terminations, leave, salary changes and allowances.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities.
• Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support compliance with payroll legislation, awards, taxation and superannuation requirements.
• Assist with payroll audits and documentation requirements.
• Contribute to payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
