Job summary

Accor's Darwin resorts host a pivotal People & Culture leadership role. As the People & Culture Director, you will steer strategy, recruitment, and employee engagement across three properties, with ongoing support from a coordinator and General Manager.

This on-site role in Darwin NT requires a HR qualification, 3–5 years' P&C experience, and strong ER/IR skills. Sponsorship is not available; relocation to Darwin is expected.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a People & Culture role.
• Experience in leading complex ER investigations and Modern Award interpretation.
• Confident, articulate communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders and brands.
• Full working rights in Australia - this role is not available for sponsorship.
• NOTE: This role requires you to live and work on site in Darwin, NT.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead the resort's P&C strategy end to end, ensuring Heartist Culture is nurtured and Department Managers are supported.
• Oversee recruitment and retention of key talent across the resort in line with operational needs and Accor's guidelines.
• Manage, coach and develop the People & Culture Coordinator, building their capability to support day-to-day P&C operations.
• Partner with the leadership team on workforce planning, organisational structure and resourcing.
• Ensure induction, on-the-job training and probationary reviews are completed consistently for all new starters.
• Coach supervisors and managers on performance management and workplace relations.
• Manage employee and industrial relations matters with documentation of meetings and outcomes.
• Use Employee Engagement Survey results to drive improvement initiatives at property and resort-wide levels.
• Drive P&C programs including reward, wellbeing, talent management and leadership development.
