Job summary

Australian Department of Finance, Canberra, is seeking an ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer to independently enable procurement decisions and contract management within the CPT. You will engage with stakeholders to deliver high-quality ICT outcomes and ensure governance and compliance across procurement activities.

The role focuses on BAU procurement, contract artefacts, evaluation support, and probity advice, with opportunities to mentor APS5 staff and build cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day BAU ICT procurement and contract management functions, including drafting procurement artefacts (contracts, statement of requirements, procurement plans, evaluation reports).
• Participate and support evaluation activities.
• Provide impartial and evidence-based procurement and probity advice.
• Ensure activities are compliant with CPRs, legislations, internal rules and best practice.
• Report weekly and ad hoc on CPT’s and ICT Division’s ongoing activities.
• Coordinate and maintain governance records to cover critical procurement outcomes and supplier performance.
• Manage the APS5 role, including supporting their development and team contribution.
• Manage procurement and contract queries and escalate issues.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
