Job summary

Geoscience Australia is seeking an ICT Finance Officer to join the ICT Service Management section in Canberra. You will support the Team Lead with invoices, procurements and contracts related to ICT services, and engage with business areas and ICT vendors to ensure timely sourcing and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and consultation skills.
• Awareness of Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

Responsibilities

• Process and check activities following established procedures; assist with QA and information accuracy (quotes, renewals, work orders).
• Enter contracts and generate Purchase Orders in the Financial Management System (TechnologyOne).
• Certify and process invoices for payment.
• Assist with the preparation of financial information and data for reporting, accruals and forecasting.
• Assist ICT procurement activities including obtaining quotes and supporting approvals.
• Coordinate documentation for ICT procurement and financial processes.
• Collect and manage data relating to ICT contracts, invoices and arrangements, supporting financial activities.
• Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders and ICT vendors/resellers.
• Manage a team shared mailbox, including accurate record-keeping and filing.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and internal communication content.
• Be resilient and adapt to changes in work requirements.
• Be committed to delivering quality outcomes.
• Be open to feedback and seek guidance when required.
• Be proficient using Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.
