Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day BAU ICT procurement and contract management functions, including drafting procurement artefacts (contracts, statement of requirements, procurement plans, evaluation reports).
  • Participate and support evaluation activities.
  • Provide impartial and evidence-based procurement and probity advice.
  • Ensure activities are compliant with CPRs, legislations, internal rules and best practice.
  • Report weekly and ad hoc on CPT’s and ICT Division’s ongoing activities.
  • Coordinate and maintain governance records to cover critical procurement outcomes and supplier performance.
  • Manage the APS5 role, including supporting their development and team contribution.
  • Manage procurement and contract queries and escalate issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.

The ICT Business, Strategy & Governance Section, within the ICT Division, includes the functions of ICT Enterprise Architecture, ICT Planning and Strategy, ICT Financial Reporting, ICT Project Management Office and the ICT Contracts and Procurement Team (CPT).
The CPT provides procurement expertise and delivers centrally managed procurement for all ICT and ICT labour hire requirements, as well as enabling high-quality contract management practices through its centralised responsibilities to support the Department’s key strategic ICT outcomes.

ABOUT THEOPPORTUNITY

The ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer must independently enable ICT procurement and contract management decisions, through frequent engagement, reporting and providing customised policy advice to deliver high-quality outcomes. Duties will include:

  • Delivering day-to-day Business As Usual (BAU) ICT procurement and contract management functions, including:
    • Drafting procurement artefacts (contracts, statement of requirements, procurement plans, evaluation reports, etc.)
    • Participating and supporting evaluation activities,

ELIGIBILITY ADVICE & CANDIDATE NOTES

  • Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing.
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated in the downloadable job pack. All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
  • This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing. Roles may be offered as either ongoing or non-ongoing subject to operational requirements. Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 12 months. Specified term vacancies may be extended up to a maximum period of 18 months.
