Job summary

Racing Victoria Limited is seeking a Business Partner – People & Performance to provide trusted advice and deliver best-practice people outcomes across the Racing Victoria Group. This pivotal role partners with the Manager – People & Performance and RVG leadership to translate people strategy into practical action across recruitment, onboarding and the employee lifecycle.

Based at our Flemington head office, this full-time fixed-term contract runs to 30 September 2027.

Qualifications

• Operational HR support across the employee lifecycle.
• Recruitment advertising, sourcing, interviewing and offer coordination.
• Effective onboarding and a positive employee experience.
• Engagement and culture initiatives to improve retention.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Manager – People & Performance to implement practical people strategies and initiatives.
• Coordinate recruitment activities across the business, including role scoping, advertising, candidate management, selection and offers.
• Partner with leaders to deliver effective onboarding and a positive experience for new employees.
• Coach and support leaders across workforce planning, performance, development, remuneration and other key stages of the employee lifecycle.
• Contribute to employee engagement, retention, recognition and culture initiatives across Racing Victoria Group.
• Provide timely, practical advice on people and employee relations matters, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
• Develop and educate the business on policies, procedures and statutory requirements that support consistent and compliant decision-making.
• Use people data, feedback and HR systems to identify opportunities and improve the employee experience.
