Job summary

Racing Victoria is seeking a Business Partner – People & Performance to partner with senior leaders and drive practical people outcomes across the group. This full-time fixed-term role is based at our Flemington head office and runs until 30 September 2027.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and culture initiatives, leveraging data and HR systems to improve retention and engagement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
• Hands-on recruitment, sourcing, interviewing and onboarding coordination.
• Experience delivering onboarding and a positive employee experience.
• Ability to develop engagement, retention and culture initiatives.
• Confidence coaching leaders on workforce planning, performance and development.
• Employee relations experience with practical, risk-aware advice.
• Ability to interpret EBAs, Awards and employment legislation.
• Proficiency with HR systems and data-driven approaches.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Time and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to implement practical people strategies.
• Coordinate recruitment: role scoping, advertising, candidate management, offers.
• Partner with leaders to deliver onboarding and a positive experience for new employees.
• Coach leaders on workforce planning, performance, development and remuneration.
• Contribute to engagement, retention and culture initiatives across Racing Victoria Group.
• Provide timely, practical advice on people and employee relations matters.
• Develop and educate the business on policies and statutory requirements.
• Use people data and HR systems to identify opportunities and improve the employee experience.
