Job summary

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is seeking an experienced Fleet Management Coordinator to provide strategic leadership across fleet planning, asset management, and replacement programs. You will oversee procurement, supplier negotiations and fleet systems to optimise performance and value for the organisation.

You will lead a small team, drive continuous improvement in fleet operations and ensure compliance with WHS and statutory requirements while aligning with the council's long-term goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in whole-of-life fleet and plant asset management policies, programs and projects.
• Experience in capital and operational budget development for fleet assets.
• End-to-end procurement experience for fleet and plant assets.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve safe, efficient, compliant outcomes.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and systems (e.g., AusFleet).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic fleet planning and the 10-year replacement program.
• Oversee fleet procurement, contracts and disposal with value-focused approaches.
• Drive compliance, performance, fuel infrastructure and safety across operations.
• Lead fleet systems administration, policy development and reporting.
• Manage fleet risk, safety, incidents, and insurance processes.
• Develop and mentor the Fleet Administration team to improve service delivery.
