Job summary

VALD is seeking a Financial Controller to own the day-to-day finance function across all entities in a fast-growing SAAS business. You will lead a capable team, drive month-end close, consolidation, tax compliance and treasury, while building scalable processes and strong control frameworks.

The ideal candidate is a CA/CPA with audit background and several years in controller roles, with experience in multi-currency environments and revenue recognition for subscriptions.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong audit background.
• 8+ years' experience, including at least 2 years in commercial roles.
• Experience in technology, SAAS or hardware-enabled subscriptions is advantageous.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred; ERP implementation is a bonus.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency groups and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close across all group entities and currencies.
• Oversee consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Manage revenue accounting for bundled hardware and subscriptions (AASB 15/ASC 606).
• Lead tax compliance across jurisdictions and coordinate with external advisors.
• Design scalable internal controls and act as finance system owner for NetSuite.
• Partner with executive leadership to support budgeting and forecasting.
